Which January transfer signing will make the biggest impact?

It has been a dramatic week of transfer window activity so far with deals taking place at some of the world’s biggest clubs.

From Chelsea to FC Barcelona, plenty of clubs have been making their move and ahead of the window slamming shut next week, we examine who could make the biggest instant impact.

Gonzalo Higuaín: Chelsea have been in the market for a striker this January and the Blues have found a solution in the Argentine striker.

Juventus forward Higuaín joins on loan at Stamford Bridge until the end of the season to help Chelsea fight for a top four spot and UEFA Europa League title.

The striker has an impressive record wherever he’s been, playing for Maurizio Sarri at Napoli and scoring more than 120 goals for Real Madrid.

Mario Balotelli: A cult hero at Manchester City, Mario Balotelli is hoping to bring fireworks to the Olympique de Marseille side.

The forward joins from OGC Nice where he scored 33 Ligue 1 goals in 61 matches.

Reliable in front of goal, Balotelli can make a big impact until the end of the season and aid Marseille’s challenge for Champions League qualification.

Kevin-Prince Boateng: The Ghanaian has enjoyed spells at AC Milan, Portsmouth and Tottenham and joins FC Barcelona until the end of the season from Sassuolo.

Boateng has scored against Barca for AC Milan in the Champions League and will add versatility to the midfield as Barca aim for a third treble in 10 years.

Lucas Perri: The young Brazilian goalkeeper has joined Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the season from São Paulo.

Crystal Palace have suffered a goalkeeping injury crisis in recent weeks and it is hoped the 21-year-old can offer good cover at Selhurst Park.

A Brazilian international at U-20 level, Perri has played with the likes of Richarlison in his career already.
