Kansas City Chiefs


The Kansas City Chiefs compete in the AFC West division of the NFL. Founded in 1960 as the Dallas Texans (relocating to Kansas City in 1963), the Chiefs have the distinction of playing in the first Super Bowl in history in 1967, where they lost to the Green Bay Packers. Legendary figures of the Chiefs include Derrick Thomas, Tony Gonzalez, Len Dawson and Buck Buchanan.

The Chiefs have made 22 playoff appearances in franchise history, winning 12 division championships, one conference championship, three AFL championships and two Super Bowls. The Chiefs’ home field is Arrowhead Stadium, and the team is owned by the Hunt family. The current general manager is Brett Veach, and the head coach is Andy Reid.
